The residential dwelling is a listed building and was in vital need of substantial repairs. In order to preserve the listed building on the site and bring it back into viable use, extensions and redesigned internal layout were proposed. This created viable and useable living spaces to enable the restoration of this important heritage asset.

The proposal included the renovations and an extension to the listed building, keeping its layout, form, and appearance as close to the original as possible. Working closely with the Council Conservation Officer our heritage expert and planners ensured the proposed works gained Listed Building and planning approval to save this important building
