Our staff provide a comprehensive planning service, from the initial consultation on your project through to the submission of the application to the Local Authority and post submission follow up and advice. We have significant experience with many Local Authorities and use the excellent relationship we have established over the years to make the application process as smooth as possible.
Our work will typically cover:
- Initial consultation to discuss the site and investigate previous planning history;
- Pre-application meetings with the Local Planning Authority and other relevant bodies
- Project management – our service ranges from full project management as the lead consultant, drawing together the other parties involved such as architects and other specialist consultants to liaison and briefing of such parties for smaller projects. We are able to advise on the need to employ other specialists. We have excellent relationships with many architects and other consultants, including highways and transportation consultants, ecologists, landscape architects, arboriculturalists, acoustic consultants, structural engineers, surveyors and valuers and contamination experts; and
- Heritage Asset Assessment and Listed Building Advice – our experienced in-house Heritage Consultant can advise and manage any heritage and Listed Building related projects.
Our applications include a comprehensive Planning Statement, referring to National, Local and Neighbourhood Planning Policy and relevant Planning Acts.
DLA Town Planning Ltd are also able to offer advice and negotiate with Local Authorities in respect of s106 legal agreements.
Following submission of your application we will continue negotiations with the Local Planning Authority and other relevant bodies through to the determination of the application.
Upon determination we are also able to offer assistance with any discharge of conditions.
