Former Pool House, Ware
DLA has gained planning permission for a new two-storey dwelling in the Green Belt to replace an existing single-storey former pool house. The starting point was the grant of a certificate of lawful use for the outbuilding as an independent dwelling. Then we maximised the permitted development rights potential to achieve a certificate of lawfulness for two side extensions and a prior approval application for an additional storey. East Herts Council accepted our argument that the proposed dwelling would have a lesser impact on the openness of the Green Belt than the realistic fall back position and the new dwelling would be more in keeping with the street scene.
