190 dwellings approved in St Albans Green Belt
Councillors unanimously resolved to grant planning permission for 190 homes on a Green Belt site in St Albans. The package of benefits brought by the proposals, including substantial investment in new sustainable transport infrastructure, were sufficient to outweigh harm to the Green Belt.
A new Local Plan is desperately needed in St Albans but in the meantime, it is important that proposals like this can be brought forward to deliver much-needed new homes and infrastructure.
