We are pleased to announce that Central Bedfordshire’s Development Management Committee made a resolution to grant planning permission for the redevelopment of the Vacant Bird in Hand PH to provide 35 flats, including 11 affordable homes. The scheme will also provide three, affordable wheelchair-accessible units on the ground floor for which there is an unmet need within the Local Authority.

Each flat will benefit from private and communal amenity space set within landscaped gardens and following extensive public engagement with the local Ward Councillors, a children’s play area and pitched roof was incorporated to ensure the scheme satisfied local requirements.
