DLA is delighted to announce that planning permission has been granted for 65 houses in East Hendred, Oxfordshire.

In January 2019, a reserved matters planning application on behalf of Mears New Homes and Sovereign Housing Association was submitted to the Vale of White Horse District in respect of the residential development of Greensands, East Hendred for 65 dwellings, however this application was refused.

DLA successfully argued at appeal for the reserved matters application, promoting that the scheme had been carefully designed to reflect the context of the local area and its character. The Inspector agreed with DLA that the development would integrate well into the existing landscape and would preserve the setting of the AONB, leading to the appeal being allowed.
