St Andrews Church Hall, Flitwick
DLA has successfully gained planning permission for the erection of two, three-bedroomed dwellings following the demolition of St Andrews Church Hall in Flitwick. After establishing the principle of development through a pre-app, which was accompanied by a cost-benefit analysis which recognized that it would not be financially feasible to repair the Church Hall, we went in with a full planning application.
The Church Hall was an unsafe building that had not been used for over two years. The surrounding area provided the community with an array of other facilities and the use of the land where the Church Hall was sited, provided an opportunity to inject value back into the community and contribute to Central Bedfordshire’s housing stock.
Overall a great result for the community of Flitwick!
