Dudley Street, Leighton Buzzard

DLA are happy to share that we have gained planning permission following a successful appeal for 3 residential dwellings, the removal of 24 existing garages and replacement with 14 open car parking spaces, public realm improvements and landscaping on land to the rear of Dudley Street in Leighton Buzzard. The site is located to the south east of the town centre and is under no planning constraints.

Within the appeal, the Inspector considered the main issues to be whether or not the provision of open space was acceptable, and the effect of the development upon the character and the appearance of the area. Concluding that the development would allow for the creation of needed improved open space, compared to the existing, and that the development would not unduly erode the openness of the area, the Inspector was satisfied that the scheme would accord with Policy at both National and Local levels.
