The Rye, Eaton Bray
DLA has successfully secured planning permission and listed building consent for the conversion of outbuildings to two residential dwellings with associated parking, amenity space, and access at The Rye in Eaton Bray, which is washed over by the Green Belt. Being in the Green Belt, we successfully argued that the proposal would not constitute inappropriate development as it would be re-using the buildings already on the site in a viable way, consistent with their conservation as required by the NPPF. Also proposed is a net gain in biodiversity and energy-efficient dwellings thanks to the utilisation of the fabric first approach.
