Cromwell Barns, Wheathampstead

Back in January last year, we received a successful grant of planning permission for 4 detached dwellings, 2 detached garages, and associated landscaping, amenity, and parking at the former Cromwell Piggeries site in Wheathampstead, which is situated in the Green Belt. This permission followed successful Class Q approvals which relate to the conversion of agricultural buildings to residential use. The Class Q approvals allowed for 5 dwellings and were used as a successful fallback argument for the 4 dwellings application. The reduction in dwellings saw an improvement to the spread of development on this Green Belt site.
