Mount Pleasant Lane, Bricket Wood

This site is located within the Green Belt and sits on the south western edge of the village of Bricket Wood. The site consists of an existing building that is used for an office, whilst the wider site contains a dwelling as well as a range of other lawful buildings and hardstanding areas. There has been a history of enforcement at this site, and last year we obtained an approval to demonstrate that the buildings in the wider site are lawful and could therefore be retained.

More recently, we received another approval under a retrospective application for the existing office on the site to continue to lawfully operate as an office, which now falls under Use Class E. In terms of our Green Belt argument, as the structure of the building was already lawful, the proposed re-use of the building as an office would meet the requirements as set out in the NPPF.
